I’ve been wanting to put together a video tutorial on how to use a “digital template” for a long time now! I’m so glad that Rebecca Cooper asked me to co-host “Beginner Digi Week” at Write.Click.Scrapbook. because it gave me the motivation to finally do it!
I seriously cannot say enough good things about digital templates! If you are new digital scrapbooking or even thinking about it, then this tutorial is for you…

Command-G is the best thing I've learned all day! So much easier than Alt-Click
Thanks!
Fabulous tutorial Crystal. I did not know about the "place" function. I can't wait to use it on my next template. I get so tired of moving pieces when I know exactly where I want layers to be!
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [17 Feb 12:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
Great tutorial. Thanks so much. I cannot wait to try out my first template.
I have had Photoshop on my computer for over a year now but have been overwhelmed with all it offers. I am so excited to give it another try after watching this tutorial. As of this very moment I have never tried digi scrapbooking, but with a 9 month old and thousands of pictures of him, I am ready to get started. Thank you so much for sharing!
This is so amazing. Thank you so much for putting this together! I got PSE8 for my birthday this past june, and haven't learned to do hardly anything yet because I've been so overwhelmed! I have a bunch of digital scrapbooking papers etc. purchased, but didn't know where to start. This is BEYOND helpful. Thank you!!!
thank you, Crystal — you did a great job!

I love your tutorial Crystal and am so glad that I found your blog!! I have a question. How do I take a 12×12 template and resize it to print out on 8 1/2 by 11 or 8×8, etc so I can print it at home? Thank you. – Shelly
tried this out and was succesful except had problems when it came to saving it. I wanted to use it on my blog and it didn't want to save and ended up converting it into a giff. The results are here

Great tutorial, it was very easy to follow. I had a little problem getting the sound loud enough. Now I am off to give it a try. Thanks
